The united Kingdom has a housing problem, its ancient woodlands are being replaced with generic ‘Identikit’ overpriced housing and our wildlife is disappearing. This is all down to unending immigration.

“Movement of people from ‘low-carbon’ to ‘high-carbon’ parts of the world will cause an absolute increase in GHG emissions if migrants from ‘low-carbon’ areas increase consumption of carbon-intensive products once they have migrated. Over time, consumption patterns of migrants would tend to converge with those of the host country into which they migrate, so any discrepancy would become less significant over time. Migration is also a key driver of international travel by air, a rapidly growing source of carbon emissions.” (M.W)
Cities depend on nature, we are inside nature (Earth) and we are a part of nature and the great cities that we build, thrive or die because of the natural world around them.
The first casualty of our ever growing population is depriving our young of affordable housing. The housing we are building is overpriced clone houses, completely unaffordable for lower middle class and working class workers. To house all of the swathes of immigrants we will need to pave over our green and pleasant lands to make way for more housing. Immigration is a benefit to our country in so many ways but only when it is sustainable.

‘Not enough’ landlords to cater to students and immigrants, Paragon boss warns
The impact of demographic pressures has been associated with a host of other social maladies, from psychological stress, depression and violence to traffic congestion and disease. As the population rises we will see stiffer competition for jobs as automation and A.I eradicate many jobs. The indigenous will face even more pressure as companies will expect to have an even split of workers from different backgrounds. We have our young people scrambling for diminishing job opportunities and paying hundreds of pounds in rent, for a room in a house which would have paid for an entire house ten years ago before the massive influx.

When crowding becomes too great after population buildups, interactions intensify, leading to greater and greater stress. As psychological and emotional stress builds up and tempers wear thin, subtle but powerful changes occur in the chemistry of the body. Births drop while deaths progressively increase until as state known as ‘population collapse’ occurs. Such cycles of build-up and collapse are now generally recognized as normal for the warm-blooded vertebrates and possibly for all life. Contrary to popular belief, the food supply is only indirectly involved in these cycles.
The adrenals play an important part in the regulation of growth, reproduction and the level of the body’s defenses. The size and weight of these important glands is not fixed but responds to stress. When animals are too frequently stressed, the adrenals, in order to meet the emergency, become overactive and enlarged…Mortality [in major animal die-offs that were extensively studied by John Christian] evidently results from shock following severe metabolic disturbance, probably as a result of prolonged adrenocortical hyperactivity. There is no evidence of infection, starvation, or other obvious cause to explain the mass mortality.
It is now widely held that the processes of selection which control evolution favor the dominant individuals in any given group. Not only are they under less stress but they also seem able to stand more stress. The adrenals work harder and become more enlarged in subordinate animals…A blowup of aggressiveness and sexual activity and accompanying stresses overload the adrenals. The result is a population collapse due to lowering of the fertility rate, increased susceptibility to disease, and mass mortality from hypoglycemic shock. The dominant animals, however, usually survive. - Edward Hall
Overwhelming a country with immigration or tourists will make life hard for the indigenous. An inevitable backlash could occur as housing and life itself -human and the natural - becomes untenable.
