Technology is encroaching on every area of our lives it is watching us, collecting our thoughts and tracking our movements, storing every part of us on its servers. It is severing us from the natural world and distracting us all into destruction.
A vapid vacant stare is rapidly filling the faces of the masses. We have become the society of the spectacle, conditioned to stare at people and things as if they were objects on a screen.
Society has become mentally enfeebled by technology, using it as a digital crutch. Deep thinking has been surpassed by googling, navigation by GPS rather than the stars, wits or amap and compass.
Ethan Kross, the director of the University of Michigan Emotion and Self-Control Laboratory told USA Today that “the more people used Facebook during any one period of time, the more their mood levels dropped and the more their life satisfaction dropped.”
Companies work hard to keep us dependent on their technology, the more the company benefits financially if you are addicted and dependent. So they are incentivized, not to keep you productive, but to keep you attached. And the more attached you are, the less you are able to think independently or creatively.
We are in the world but not of it. Our senses detached; synthesized sounds fill our ears while we ignore the sounds and life coming from the infants pram. The child is detached as she glares at an Ipad. A trance like state has engulfed the modern population and its gripping people from all ages and cultures. Consuming their time, life force and souls.
The weapons of war become more deadly and satanic as time goes on, the exponential development of machines designed to destroy human flesh and homes of ‘less advanced cultures’ continues without challenge. The profits soar as the bodies pile up.
What is happening in Palestine right now could happen to all of us. As technology takes over the human economy, it will render much of the population useless and without purpose. AI and automation will dehumanize us and replace homo sapiens as the intelligent enlightened wise ones.
